Carolina Teacher Accused of Sending Sex Videos to Student

(Cleveland County, North Carolina) A 34-year-old teacher at Burns Middle School, Caron Elizabeth Blanton, has been arrested for sending sexual videos to a student.

Investigators said Blanton sent sexual videos of herself to a student. WSOC is reporting the video shows Blanton naked and performing a sex act on herself.

Blanton resigned earlier this month after the sheriff’s department launched a criminal investigation. School officials said she was suspended from her job before she resigned on April 10.

Blanton is charged with three counts of indecent liberties with a child and six counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor under 16.

Blanton surrendered to the sheriff's office on Monday afternoon.
